The 1930s saw a proliferation of Art Deco buildings in homes and businesses across the UK.

Rayners Lane Underground Station was designed by Reginald H. Uren of Adams, Holden and Pearson. The station was opened on 8th August 1938.

Overview

During the 1930s, Metroland, the extended line of the Metropolitan Railway encouraged the building of new houses and stations along the route. Many new buildings were designed in the style of Art Deco.
